In its 6th consecutive year, Kindalin’s Reading Challenge has concluded with an outstanding effort by all families who participated. Hours of reading has been tallied up by families as part of Kindalin’s Reading Challenge. We hope families enjoyed these literacy explorations as much as Kindalin did within the centres!
Whilst the log cards recorded children’s reading of books at home with their families, their literacy investigations were further extended at each Kindalin centre in numerous avenues.
This included:
- Author Studies
- Graphs recording individual children’s involvement
- Monthly News time sharing for each child
- Retelling elements of their favourite stories via role play and in the artwork
- Book Character Dress Up Week
- Scholastic Book Fair
- Poppers and Popcorn Celebration Finale!
